Lipozene: Can you Really Lose Weight Fast With Lipozene?

One of the more recent "stars" of the diet supplement world, Lipozene has been touted as a fast, easy route, to substantial weight loss. But does it really work? (For more information on this, go to: http://celopindietpill.blogspot.com/ )
The Lipozene diet pill is manufactured by Obesity Research Institute. You may have heard of them - they previously marketed similar products under the names Fiberslim and Propolene.
The central ingredient in Lipozene, is a substance called glucomannan. And this is the same substance that was used in Obesity Research Institute's prior diet products. So first, you need to take a good look at what exactly is glucomannan.
Without getting too technical, (I don't want to put you to sleep with a bunch of terminology from my Chemistry lab manuals!), glucomannan is basically a fiber supplement, derived from a plant. It is a substance that your body cannot absorb, so it just passes through your system, while providing fiber to help move everything else through. (Trying hard, not to get disgusting here!)
Now, there are clinical studies which confirm that glucomannan lowers blood-fat levels, and levels of the "bad" cholesterol (LDL). There is also some confirmation that consuming glucomannan with water before a meal, will give you a full feeling (the idea being that you will then eat less).
But before you run to your computer, to order a year's supply of Lipozene, I'm going to give you the honest truth. There are very serious problems with this product!
Yes I realize, you may have heard lots of stories about successful weight loss using Lipozene - from people trying to sell it to you! Well, fortunately for you, I refuse to sell people something that I wouldn't use myself. So I am going to reveal to you, the whole true story, about Lipozene and weight loss.

First, you need to clearly understand the problems:
#1: Diet pills are still drugs. And ALL drugs cause associated side effects. And sometimes, these side effects can even be dangerous.

#2: Glucomannan is a fiber product. And all fiber products can cause certain vitamins and minerals to bind with them - thus preventing your body from using those essential vitamins and minerals. Thus, it is advisable to take a quality multi-vitamin supplement, if you decide to use this type of diet pill.

#3: Since Lipozene is essentially a fiber product, this brings up the question: Why not just buy one of the commonly available fiber supplements, at a cost that is far less than Lipozene?

#4: There are many claims of success floating around the Internet, purportedly from Lipozene users. However, even these people state that they were following nutritional diet plans, and engaging in regular exercise, while on Lipozene. This means that we have no way of knowing whether they would have succeeded equally, merely by using a diet plan and exercise alone.

None of the problems above, however, addresses the most serious concern with Lipozene: Consumer Fraud.
The company that makes the product (Obesity Research Institute), has been cited numerous times for billing customers under false pretenses, and for refusing to provide refunds under conditions where a refund was promised. Furthermore, the Federal Trade Commission has charged the company with making "false and unsubstantiated claims" in the past. As a result, the company has been forced to pay $1.5 million in "customer redress"!

So as we can see, rather than living up to its promises of "easy weight loss", Lipozene comes with a list of concerns, and even questionable results. Plus, it is sold by a company with a history of criminal actions! Fortunately for you, there are other alternatives to Lipozene, which WILL help you to lose weight quickly. But you need to have a Complete Diet Plan - one that uses SAFE supplements to accelerate your weight loss! And I will layout all the details for you, (plus show you for Free, the step-by-step way to put together your own Weight Loss Plan), in my next article in this series. Diagnosis of Sleep Apnea - Sleep Study

How would you know whether you had sleep apnea? Severe and persistent daytime sleepiness (not just tiredness) is the most obvious symptom. Usually it is the spouse, or family members who are the first to realize that you have severe snoring problem. If you are already aware that you snore, frequently fall asleep in front of the TV, have difficulty concentrating, falls asleep easily and any time at work, dinner, or even while driving – don't delay – go and see the doctor immediately.
In order to confirm that sleep apnea, the doctors/hospital will most likely require you to take part in a "sleep study". The process takes place either in a specialized sleep study unit or under the care of a lung specialist. The sleep study mainly involves a nigh stay in the hospital and a variety of tests to determine how badly your breathing is obstructed. Videos recording may be present to check your quality of sleep and body movements.
Typical tests include:

  1. Visual observation – to observe and determine signs of sleep apnea

  2. Pulse Oximetry – measures the amount of oxygen in your blood and pulse rate.

  3. Polysomnography – measures the eye movements and chin to see which sleep stage the individual reached. People with sleep apnea are found to have multiple dips in oxygen levels and peaks in pulse rate. The flow of air through the nose & mouth, the movement of the chest wall and the oxygen levels in the blood are measured. In a normal sleeper, the breathing is regular and rhythmic, the heart rate is stable and oxygen saturation in the blood is 95 percent. During an episode of sleep apnea, the level of oxygen in the blood quickly begins to decline to a low level, there are gaps in the airflow at least once a minute, and within 30 seconds the heart rate begins to rise and breathing starts again;

  4. Electrocardiogram (ECG) – measures any seriously abnormal heart rhythms.

Posture and position helps avoid whiplash

It is impossible to completely avoid whiplash injury if another car ploughs into the back of yours, but good posture while driving can help prevent serious injury if an accident occurs.
It is important to think about posture when you get in the car to start a journey when we are sitting in the car, but the fact is that good posture while driving can help prevent whiplash injury if an accident occurs. If you suffer a car accident which causes whiplash injury, which was not your fault, seek urgent medical assistance, then contact a regulated UK solicitor who will help you to claim compensation for your injuries.

The headrest should be about 1 inch from the back of your head, when sitting in the normal driving position, as this will absorb shock. Your neck muscles and ligaments control the posture of your head, which gives better support in the case of an accident. Headrests should never be kept behind the neck, as this can have the opposite affect, and actually cause serious injury in the case of an accident.

Drivers and passengers should always adjust their headrests before setting off on a journey, as this can help prevent serious injury in the case of an accident. Headrests should be level with the top of your head, and if other drivers use your car, adjust the headrest every time you set off.
Also, a small cushion placed behind your lower back can help your posture while driving, and you are much more likely to suffer serious whiplash injury if your posture is not good.
Try to keep your back straight while driving, as this can prevent other injuries, and although it is normal to feel some pain after a whiplash injury, good posture can help prevent severe injury and pain.

Whiplash commonly occurs after a rear-end shunt, and though 75% of victims recover within a couple of weeks, serious whiplash injury can take months to fully recover from. Late whiplash syndrome can occur when injuries are not apparent straight after the accident, but worsen as time goes by.
Mild whiplash injury is common after rear-end shunt car accidents, and can cause pain in the back, neck and head. Pain in the lower back could indicate some disc damage to the spine, and ongoing pain in the head could indicate some more serious injuries.

Doctors will normally give you an examination, to ascertain how much damage has been done during a whiplash accident, and they will refer you to a specialist if they think it is necessary. Headrests, like seatbelts and airbags, are valuable tools to help maintain driving safety.Modern headrests are adjustable and specifically designed to work with seatbelts. They will prevent the head from snapping backwards and forwards, causing whiplash, and reduce the chances of a fatal neck injury in the case of an accident. In most cases of front/rear crashes, the head moves and twists, and studies have shown that properly adjusted headrests can help prevent neck injuries, even in minor accidents.
You may be able to claim compensation for your whiplash injury if the accident which caused it was someone else´s fault. Seek medical treatment then contact a personal injury solicitor who is regulated in the UK ,and who can help you claim the compensation you deserve.

How to Know if You're Pregnant - Five Symptoms

The thought of being pregnant may give you a feeling of elation or it may fill you with dread. Either way, if you truly are pregnant, most women want to know that information as soon as possible. Because if you are pregnant, it means that for better or worse, your life is about to change. So what are the early symptoms of a pregnancy? How can a woman tell early on if she's pregnant?
Pregnancy symptoms differ from woman to woman. Some women experience symptoms of pregnancy within as little time as a week of conception. Others experience no pregnancy symptoms at all until they begin to show the "baby bump." Still others may experience different pregnancy symptoms when pregnant with different children.
If you experience some of the very early pregnancy symptoms listed below and believe that you may be pregnant, you should do a home pregnancy test. If you are still in doubt, arrange with your doctor or pregnancy help clinic to have a pregnancy test. The reason why this is important is that if you are pregnant and have bad lifestyle habits like smoking, drinking, or even taking prescription drugs - you could be inadvertently harming the developing fetus in your body.

Here are 5 common symptoms that might indicate pregnancy:

1. You just missed your normal menstrual period.
This is number one on the list of indicators that are a warning sign that you may be pregnant. It's true that just because you missed a period does not necessarily mean that you're pregnant. There are many other reasons that could cause you to miss a period, such as - fasting, extreme amounts of exercising, prescribed or non-prescribed medications, eating disorders, chronic illnesses, and many more. Nevertheless, if your menstrual period is normally pretty consistent and like clockwork, and it doesn't appear on schedule - this is a red flag and you should consider taking a pregnancy test.

2. Your breasts have become amazingly sensitive.
Tender or swollen breasts sometimes occur just before a period. But these all also signs that conception has taken place and that you could be pregnant. If your breast are swollen beyond normal this is a sign that the body is preparing itself to produce milk. Many women report that they discovered they were pregnant when their breasts became so sensitive that even the slightest brush against them hurts. Others described it as a tingling sensation

3. Heightened sensitivity to smells.
When a woman is in the early stages of pregnancy, she may notice that she is becoming hypersensitive to smells of all types - but especially foods. aromas - foods and others. In fact, you may become so hypersensitive to the smell of certain foods that they cause an involuntary gag reflex or bring about a feeling of nausea. You may also find yourself having an aversion to what were formerly your favorite foods, because of the smell.

4. Excessive bloating.
Bloating can be an indication that you're pregnant. The problem is hormones. When conception occurs, the hormone progesterone floods your system. As the increased progesterone envelopes your body it slows down your digestive processes and leads to gas and bloating.

5. Dizziness.
Are you all of a sudden having periods of dizziness? Once conception takes place, the developing embryo will need food. This food will be drawn from your body. Specifically, it will use the blood sugar from your body as fuel to grow. If you aren't eating enough, this can lead to your feeling faint because of low blood sugar.

Any or all of these symptoms does not mean that you are pregnant. Each of them could be caused by other factors as well. But they are all symptoms that are common in women that have become newly pregnant.

Recovery From an Inguinal Hernia Operation - 3 Tips

If you have just undergone an inguinal hernia operation or know someone who has, these tips for faster recovery after surgery will help.

What is an Inguinal Hernia?
A hernia is a sac or bulge through the lining of the abdomen or peritoneum. It is a result of a weakness or hole in the layer of the wall that surrounds the muscle itself. The sac usually consists of internal bodily organs or tissue, such as part of an intestine, protruding through the opening.
There are many types of hernia, with the definition varying depending upon the part of the body affected. In the case of an inguinal hernia, it appears in the groin area. It is most common in men, but it can appear in women as well. It may extend down as far as the scrotum.

Diagnosis of a Hernia
People who notice a bulge in the groin or scrotal area should immediately visit a doctor for a proper diagnosis. The doctor usually beings the diagnosis by reviewing the patient's symptoms and medical history. He or she may also ask questions about how long the bulge has been present, whether it has changed in size or shape over time, and whether it is painful.
In some case, an ultrasound may be needed to confirm the presence of an inguinal hernia. This can help rule out the possibility of the problem being something else entirely, such as a tumor or other condition.

Preparation for Surgery
If the doctor diagnosis positively for inguinal hernia, surgery will usually be recommended. Patients usually undergo preoperative testing on blood and urine, an EKG (ECG), and a chest x-ray. These tests insure that the major organs are in proper working order before surgery.
In addition, about a week before surgery, the patient may be asked to discontinue certain medications. Usually, the patient will be asked not to eat or drink before surgery. Right before surgery, the patient will likely be given an IV and a sedative.

Recovery From Inguinal Hernia Operation: 3 Tips
Here are 3 tips for recovery during the days and weeks after surgery:
1. You need to keep the repair site as clean as possible.
2. Report any sign of swelling or redness to your doctor. Also, report any swelling of the testicles and any sign of a fever.
3. Avoid any strenuous movement after surgery for at least 2-3 weeks, and avoid heavy lifting for up to 8 weeks after surgery. However, light exercise such as getting up and walking around is recommended as a way to strengthen the affected muscles.
Note that if this is your second or third procedure, your postoperative steps may be a bit more strict.
Follow these 3 tips after inguinal hernia surgery.

Tinnitus Retraining - Helpful Info and Advice

One of the most common methods of tinnitus relief is the tinnitus retraining, a form of clinical tinnitus treatment that works on setting the patient's mindset so that his or her attention will not be focused on the disturbing sounds caused by tinnitus. This treatment method is based on the principle that human perception forms the actions of the human body.

The basic concept of tinnitus retraining is to get rid of the negative perceptions of the patient about tinnitus by helping him or her recognize the root causes of his or her condition. Through the counseling sessions required in the treatment, the patient will learn ways on how to feel more relaxed, calmer, and less stressed about his or her tinnitus condition.

Tinnitus retraining has three main objectives. One is to diminish the patient's worry and fear of something that is non-existent. Second is to make him/her understand that recovery is possible. Third is to teach him/her different ways to acquire hearing loss treatment in case tinnitus leads to loss of hearing.

The objectives mentioned above are achieved through the sound and counseling therapy recommended by a tinnitus retraining therapist. This therapy involves redirecting the patient's attention to other external sounds rather than on the buzzing, hissing, and ringing sound produced by the tinnitus condition. Advocates of this form of tinnitus treatment believe on the brain's ability to recognize what the mind classifies as irrelevant.

Here's how therapists perform the tinnitus retraining:

The First Session

The initial session of TRT involves gathering the patient's historical facts and using these facts to trace any possible problem that has caused this condition. This session is also the time when the doctor determines how severe the hearing impairment of the patient is as well as how tolerant the patient can is to intrusive sounds. This is also the time when the doctor assesses the patient's medical records to ensure that the condition is not caused by any underlying health conditions like hypertension, anemia, or Mernier's disease due to the lodging of foreign objects in the ear canals of the patient. This session also includes the evaluation of tinnitus retraining as an appropriate treatment for the patient's condition.

Fitting of the Tinnitus Masker

The second session involves asking the patient to choose the type of masker to use for his white noise, which is one important part of this treatment method. There are two basic forms of tinnitus masker: an earphone-like device or a desktop device. Additionally, the type of white noise that will be produced will first be asked from the patient as this depends mainly on the patient's preference.

Post Treatment Analysis of TRT

This final session is the evaluation of the progress on the patient's ability to focus more on other external sounds rather than on the tinnitus produced noise with or without the white noise produced by a tinnitus masker. As mentioned earlier, tinnitus retraining aims to lessen the stress experienced by the patient, especially because stress triggers the symptoms of tinnitus to strike. During this session, the doctor will check if the treatment method has negative effect related to the condition and will replace this with other tinnitus treatment methods.
